Makerspace: The History of the Pixel In-Person

Makerspace :: The History of the Pixel

Nostalgia for classic 80’s video games continues to keep pixel art alive. But the humble pixel has a life well beyond that of video games. Join librarians Katherine McGittigan, Megan Hopwood, and Billy Hoya as they explore classical implementations of pixel art, such as cross-stitch and mosaic art, and how to create pixel art on modern computers. Participants will get to create their own pixel art using Perler Beads.
